MQM Founder and Leader Altaf Hussain has directed the Co-ordination Committee to set up relief camps for helping the people affected by the devastating earthquake in the country. He gave this instruction while talking to members of the Co-ordination Committee on telephone on Monday.
Mr Hussain said that the earthquake had caused large-scale devastation and people were waiting for help.
“It is our national duty to help the people affected by the quake. MQM workers, office-bearers and KKF volunteers should establish relief camps and collect food grains, warm clothes, and other necessary things for helping the people in time.”
Mr Hussain offered to send MQM workers in the areas that have been hit by the earthquake for carrying out relief work.
He appealed to people to generously donate food grains, warms clothes, medicines and other necessary things at the KKF relief camps.
