MQM leaders meet Ulema for sectarian harmony

MQM leaders meet Ulema for sectarian harmony
 Posted on: 10/22/2015
The members of Coordination Committee of Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) called on religious scholars (Ulema) including Allama Talib Johari, Mufti Munib-ur-Rahman, Allama Nasir Qalandari and Maulana Ashraf Gormani to ensure sectarian harmony.
They discussed the overall situation in the city with reference to observance of Muhrarram-ul-Haraam. The divisionary forces attempt to disturb the peace and sectarian harmony but Ulema and people can defeat such elements by forging unity and shunning religious difference of sects, said Arif Khan Advocate and Abdul Qadir Khanzada who were accompanied by Haider Abbas Rizvi, MPAs Anwar Raza and Nadeem Razi during their meetings with the Ulema.
The MQM members expressed concern over the international crisis due to activities of extremist ISIS and other groups.
Ulema appreciated the efforts of MQM and said MQM leader Mr Altaf Hussain always stood for the unity amongst different sects of Muslims and he is playing a major role in the maintenance of sectarian harmony. They hoped that Muharram will conclude with absolute peace in city and in the country.
