MQM Co-ordination Committee deplores continuing arrests of workers in Karachi

Condemning the continuing arrests of MQM workers from different areas of Karachi, the MQM Co-ordination Committee has termed it a conspiracy to push MQM to the wall.
The Co-ordination Committee said that seven workers had been arrested during the past twenty-four hours. Those arrested by plainclothes personnel included Yousuf of Unit 68, Korangi, Siraj Hassan Siddiqui of Unit 48, PIB Colony, and Tariq Murtaza of Unit 173, North Nazimabad.
Similarly, Rangers arrested Sarfaraz Shaikh of Unit 103 – B, Shah Faisal Colony, Muhammad Sarwar of Unit 57, PIB Colony, Adnan of Unit 29, Lyari, Rasheed Ahmed Rajput of Unit 107, Shah Faisal Colony.
The Co-ordination Committee said that no information was being given about the whereabouts of the arrested workers. Hence, their families were greatly concerned about their safety.
The Co-ordination Committee appealed to PM Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take notice of the unjustified raids on the houses of MQM workers and their arrests. It also appealed them to order for informing the families of the arrested workers about their whereabouts.
