MQM Co-ordination Committee condemns the brutal killing of Unit 148 worker Arshad Hussain
 Posted on: 10/13/2015
MQM Co-ordination Committee has strongly condemned the brutal killing of Arshad Hussain, a worker of Unit 148 of FB Area Sector. It demanded immediate arrest of the terrorists behind the killing.
The Co-ordination Committee said that Arshad Hussain had left his office in Civic Centre for home when he was gunned down near Old Sabzi Mandi by terrorists. It said that similar incidents have occurred in the same area in which MQM workers and other people have fallen victim, but the killers could not be arrested.
The Co-ordination Committee said that only MQM workers were being targeted in the Karachi Operation, which is evident by the fact that over 440 MQM workers have been gunned down in various incidents of targeted killing. Moreover, 55 MQM workers have been killed extrajudicially after being arrested by law enforcement agencies. Over 225 MQM workers are still missing after being arrested, and their families are worried about their well-being.
The Co-ordination Committee said that the terrorists were roaming freely and targeting MQM workers one after another, but the law enforcement agencies were bent on portraying MQM workers as terrorists.
The Co-ordination Committee appealed to Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Anwer Zaheer Jamali to take notice of the killing of Arshad Hussain and stop the violations of political, democratic and human rights of MQM.
The Co-ordination Committee also appealed the Chief Justice to take notice of the brutal killing of 440 MQM workers, extrajudicial killing of 55 workers, and enforced disappearances of additional 225 workers.
