MQM Co-ordination Committee condemns illegal raids and arrests in PIB Colony, Malir, Qasba and Aligarh

MQM Co-ordination Committee has strongly condemned the illegal raids and arrests of MQM workers by Rangers and plainclothes personnel in PIB Colony, Malir, Qasba, and Aligarh Colony.
Plainclothes personnel picked up Waqas, Unit Committee Member Unit 98, MQM Malir Sector, from his home. In another incident Imran, a worker of Unit 48 of PIB Colony Sector of MQM, was arrested from his home.
Rangers arrested Naeem and Babar Azad, workers of Unit 122 – A, MQM Qasba Aligarh Sector and shifted them to an unknown location.
The Co-ordination Committee said criminal gangs and sectarian organizations were operating freely while MQM workers are being hunted down on the pretext of Karachi Operation.
The committee said that the MQM workers cannot be intimidated by enforced disappearances, illegal arrests, torture and strong-arm tactics.
The committee appealed to PM Nawaz Sharif, COAS Gen Raheel Sharif, Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan, CM Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Corps Commander Karachi Lt Gen Naveed Mukhtar, and DG Rangers Sindh Maj Gen Bilal Akbar to take notice of illegal raids and arrests.
The committee said that political victimization of MQM should be stopped immediately.
