MQM condemns brutal killing of MQM office bearer by Haqiqi terrorists
in Korangi
Aftab was killed when he refused to join Haqiqi terrorists
MQM demands PM, COAS to take serious notice of the killing
The
Central Coordination Committee (RC) of MQM has vehemently condemned brutal
killing of Aftab Hussain, 30, an office-bearer of MQM Korangi Sector. In a
statement, the MQM RC said that Aftab Hussain had been receiving threats from
the Establishment-sponsored Haqiqi terrorists to join them or face
consequences. Despite persistent threats, Aftab Hussain refused to join Haqiqi
terrorists.
The
RC said that Aftab Hussain was once again approached by Haqiqi terrorists
Thursday evening while he was standing near his house. Haqiqi terrorists
threatened him to join them and shot him several times at point blank range
upon his refusal. Aftab received
multiple gun shots on his face and skull and succumbed to his injuries on the
spot.
MQM
Central Coordination Committee said that MQM workers are being targeted by
state-sponsored terrorists throughout Karachi. Hundreds of workers have been
killed since the start of the on-going operation in Karachi but not a single
perpetrator involved in these killings has been apprehended. Instead, Rangers
have been arresting innocent MQM workers without any justification.
The
MQM RC said that despite lofty claims by the government and Rangers, incidents
of target killing, including killing of MQM workers, have increased manifold. This
poses serious questions over the direction and claim over success of the
operation in Karachi.
The
MQM RC wondered if the claims of government and law enforcement agencies are
true about the success of the on-going operation, then how come these incidents
of killings are occurring in Karachi. It added that it is a folly to expect
peace in the city when Haqiqi terrorists are being afforded state patronage to
carry out terrorist activities.
Should
this indifference of government and practice of providing official patronage to
Haqiqi terrorists continued, MQM RC warned, then people of Sindh would have no
other option but to resort to politics of agitation.
The
Central Coordination Committee of MQM demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and
Chief of Army Staff to take serious notice of killing of Aftab Hussain at the
hands of Haqiqi terrorists and ensure that official patronage of these
terrorists is stopped forthwith.
