MQM MNA Asif Hasnain has said that one again different areas of Landhi were being given under the control of Haqiqi elements under a well-planned conspiracy. Haqiqi terrorists are openly demanding extortion money from public and business community and given threats of dire consequences if their demands are not met.
He said that the Haqiqi terrorists were stretching their tentacles in Landhi and other areas of Karachi under government patronage and added that it is part of a conspiracy to undermine the situation in the city.
Mr Hasnain was addressing a press conference in Landhi, which is his constituency. He was flanked by members of the Co-ordination Committee Arif Khan Advocate, Arshad Hassan, and Rizwan Baber.
Mr Hasnain said that Haqiqi terrorists are behind increasing robberies in different parts of Landhi. Markets associations have informed the authorities about the worsening situation but to no avail.
He said that MQM workers and their families in Landhi were being harassed by non-native criminal elements that are being gathered in Landhi from different areas under government patronage.
Mr Hasnain appealed to PM Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Corps Commander Karachi Lt Gen Naveed Mukhtar to take serious notice of the penetration of Haqiqi terrorists in Landhi and other areas of Karachi under government patronage.
