Altaf Hussain appeal Chief of Army Staff to give an audience to MQM for ending misunderstandings

MQM Chief Altaf Hussain made a fervent appeal to the Chief of Army Staff to give an audience to a delegation of MQM for ending misgivings regarding country’s integrity and solidarity and misunderstandings created between his party and Armed Forces of Pakistan.
In an address to his party workers at an Independence day gathering at Jinnah ground, which gained importance in the wake of MQMs’ en-mass resignations from the elected forums, Mr Hussain said that his party workers were celebrating independence day when they were arrested.
Expressing concern over illegal arrests and disappearance of party cadres, he said that every political worker has fundamental rights under the Constitution but his party was targeted in the garb of action against terrorist elements. MQM has a history of sacrifices and will not relent to any sort of oppression, he said appealing to the Establishment to not to push the party to the wall.
