Altaf Hussain condemns raid at the restaurant of MNA Ali Raza Abidi

MQM Founder and Leader Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the raid conducted by Rangers at the restaurant in Clifton owned by MNA Ali Raza Abidi and the arrest of his cousin Hassan Raza. He termed it a flagrant violation of law and tantamount to the unrestrained use of power.
In a statement, Mr Hussain said that Ali Raza Abidi is the elected representative of hundreds of thousands of people. He is highly qualified who is raising his voice in the National Assembly and on the social media against the illegal and unconstitutional actions of Rangers against the MQM.
He said that MNA Ali Raza Abidi had to face threatening attitude from the Rangers in the past as well. The raid at the restaurant is also an attempt to suppress his voice.
Mr Hussain said that Rangers overstepped their authority by sealing the restaurant. He appealed to Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court to take notice of the illegal actions of Rangers.
He also appealed to the Speaker of National Assembly to take serious notice of the illegal raid conducted by Rangers and subjecting an elected member of the National Assembly to harassment.
