Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement(MQM) was astonished and shocked that under the high command of the brave Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Shareef, the draconian, illiterate, uncivilised para-Military Rangers raided the restaurant of MQM's Member of National Assembly Syed Ali Raza Abidi in Clifton, Karachi, Sindh, known as the ‘ Biriani Of the Seas ‘.
During this illegal raid, the Para-military Rangers confiscated equipment consisting of the restaurants account books, electronic equipment, computers, and the security camera recording device.
Mr Abidi’s cousin, Mr Syed Hassan was also forcefully abducted by the Para-military Rangers.
Mr Altaf Hussain appealed to the Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Shareef to ask the Para-Military Rangers to apologise to Syed Ali Raza Abidi and to return all confiscated material, and instruct the Para-military Rangers to behave in a manner befitting a civilised country as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Concluding his statement, Mr Altaf Hussain said that he would be grateful to the Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Shareef for his intervention with regard to the return of the confiscated material from the restaurant.
Mr Altaf Hussain has stated that draconian laws which have been condemned by worldwide human rights organisation are prevailing in Pakistan.
