Altaf Hussain appeals CM Sindh to order for admitting Qamar Mansoor to a hospital
London: 18th July 2015.
MQM Founder and Leader Altaf Hussain has demanded Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Home Minister Sohail Anwar Sial to issue orders for admitting Qamar Mansoor to a hospital immediately for saving his life.
In a statement, Mr Hussain said that Qamar Mansoor has been subjected to inhuman torture after being arrested on the 29th night of Ramzan from Khursheed Begum Secretariat.
He said Qamar Mansoor was arrested during the 1992 operation as well and at that time also he was tortured brutally. The torture had affected his spinal cord and other some other organs seriously. He was able to walk after a long time, but he never fully recovered.
Mr Hussain said he had talked to Dr Musarrat Jahan, sister of Qamar Mansoor, on the telephone. “She told me that Rangers official had brought Qamar Mansoor to meet his ailing mother in the hospital. His condition was serious. His face was swollen because of torture. He is passing blood in the urine. His soles bore the marks of beating and with skin coming off. He was unable to walk because of pain in his back.”
Mr Hussain said, “I want to bring it to the knowledge of CM Sindh and Home Minister that the condition of the mother of Qamar Mansoor has deteriorated after his arrest. She has been admitted to a private hospital.”
Mr Hussain appealed to CM Sindh and Home Minister in the name of Allah and His Prophet (PBUH) to immediately order for admitting Qamar Mansoor to a hospital for saving his life.
