MQM sets up “Heatstroke Centers” in Karachi, Hyderabad

On the directives of Mr. Altaf Hussain, the founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement, the Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation set up “Heatstroke Relief Centers” around the city to provide immediate medical aid to the victims of heatstroke.
The centers were set up at CMA Lawn near Comprehensive School in Azizabad, Taj Mehal Banquette near 4-K Chowrangi in North Karachi, Roshan Lawn in Surjani Town, Bride-Groom Lawn in Gulistan-e-Johar, Bahadurabad Lawn in Bahadurabad, Nazeer Hussain Medical Complex in Dastagir, Khursheed Begum Medical Center in Pak Colony, Khursheed Begum Dispensary in Orangabad and Khuda Ki Basti Hospital in Surjani Town to provide rescue and relief activities throughout the city.
A statement said that all the rehabilitation centers were providing medical assistance and medicines free of cost and KKF doctors and paramedical staffers were present to treat the heatstroke victims. It said that some more centers would be set up at other parts of the city soon to provide immediate relief.
The KKF Spokesman said that people should immediately reach the nearest “Heatstroke Centers” if being hit by sunbeam or heat. KKF’s ambulances are providing mineral water and ORS solution for instant remedy. The KKF also established “Heatstroke Centers” in parts of Hyderabad city.
The Coordination Committee visited all the heat rehabilitation centers and checked the facilities being provided to the heat victims. While In-Charge and Committee members of Hyderabad Zone visited KKF’s heatstroke relief and rescue centers.
