MQM condemns police brutality on road-side vendors in Karimabad

MQM Co-ordination Committee has condemned the use of violence on road-side vendors in Karimabad. It said that this was not an isolated incident of misuse of power. Exceeding authority by government functionaries has become a commonplace phenomenon in Karachi.
The Co-ordination Committee said that the violence on poor road-side vendors in Karimabad was a grave violation of human rights.
The Co-ordination Committee appealed to Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Home Minister Sindh Anwar Sial to take notice of the police brutality on poor vendors in Karimabad.
