Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has demanded of President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani that high level inquiry should be held about the tragic crash of a plane of Bhoja Airline. He said that the findings of the inquiry should be placed before the public.
Mr Hussain said that the crash of the plane was a national tragedy in which 127 lives were perished. He said that the performance of the national airline was already deteriorating and the accidents of the accidents of private airlines have raised big question marks over the performance of the Civil Aviation Authority. Earlier an air blue plane had also crashed in Islamabad, and these accidents are a cause of grave concerns for the public.
Mr Hussain said that it was a national issue of utmost importance, and it must be thoroughly investigated from every perspective. He said that persons found to be guilty of dereliction of duty after the inquiry should be punished according to law. He said that the private airlines should be made to follow the rules and regulations of the civil aviation authority, and no leniency should be shown.
Mr Hussain extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families whose loved-ones perished in the crash and said that the MQM shared their grief and sorrow. He also prayed for the divine blessings and eternal peace of the departed souls.
