Member of Coordination Committee Syed Haider Abbas Rizvi said that the governments should listen to the voice of people’s rally against the artificial shortage of water and said that they should give the rights of people.
Talking to the participants of a protest rally against the artificial shortage of water, Haider Abbas said that the proposed K-4 Project should have been initiated seven years ago but it did not started yet. He demanded to give water rights on the proportion of the population as Karachi had 30 millions dwellers out of Sindh’s 50 millions. He said that the Karachiites had more rights than the remaining Sindh’s population.
MQM leader said that the federal and provincial governments should immediately start the K-4 Project and MQM would stretch out its struggle to achieve the Karachiites’ due rights. He said that the people gathered to rally for water not for money or jobs and it was their fundamental right to have their lives’ basic necessities.
Members Coordination Committee Arif Khan Advocate, Tauseef Khanzada, Wasim Akhtar, members Central Executive Council, MNAs, MPAs, workers and supporters attended the rally at Hasan Square area. Member Coordination Committee said that the provincial government should stop pushing the people into the end-line.
