Renowned Educationist and social worker, who was also an old MQM Federal B Area sector worker and a member of Federal B Area Residents Committee, Prof Azfar Rizvi, was buried in the Yasinabad graveyard amidst moving scenes.
Thousands of relatives, friends and his students attended the burial ceremony. Earlier, his funeral prayers were offered at his Federal B Area Residence `Dhaka House’ after Asar prayers. Funeral prayers and burial ceremony was attended by MQM Coordination Committee members Wasay Jalil, Khalid Sultan, Aslam Afridi, Haq Parast Sindh Assembly members Khalid Bin Walayat, Anwar Raza, Iftikhar Alam, MQM office bearers, sympathizers and relatives of Prof Rizvi. Prominent social and literary personalities, members of KPC and Arts Council and thousands of other people belonging to different schools of thoughts were also present. They paid tributes to Prof Rizvi for the services he rendered for the movement and prayed to Allah Almighty to grant patience to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss and rest the departed soul in eternal peace. Prof Rizvi was assassinated along with his driver at Karimabad by unknown terrorists on Friday.
