Addressing a massive public gathering at Liaquatabad Flyover, founder and leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain said that MQM’s graph never went down. He said that MQM’s graph has only risen. “Attendants of the rally must display exemplary discipline to make the world know that the people still love Altaf Hussain”, said Mr Hussain
Mr Altaf Hussain said that even the drone camera failed to capture this mammoth meeting. He said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat Islami (JI) cannot beat the MQM even combined. He said that MQM will give a message of love to both these parties on 23rd of April.
Altaf Hussain said that MQM is a liberal and progressive party. “JI is a branch of Al-Qaeda”, he alleged. “Do the people want Taliban and their supporters in Karachi or MQM?” he questioned. He said that PTI is also the ‘political branch’ of Taliban. He said that the opponents of MQM must have panicked after watching this show of public support.
“I congratulate Kunwar Naveed Jamil for winning this election in advance”, said Mr Altaf Hussain.
Mr Hussain said that the people of Karachi have proven today that they want MQM in Karachi, not terrorists. He said that this rally has broken all previous records. He apologized for the mistakes in the past. He said that we should not be enemies. "We want to see Pakistan progressing", he added.
Addressing the international community, he said that MQM stood for equal opportunities for all segments of the society. He said that Pakistan will be a truly democratic country under MQM government. He said that MQM wanted respect for all religions and unity among them all. He said that nobody will be discriminated on the basis of religion under MQM government. "MQM wants to break the status-quo in the country and wants to bring positive changes in the country. We want to provide people with freedom, food, electricity and clean drinking water to the people of Pakistan", he added. He said that MQM is against all forms of violence. "We want an end to the class system in Pakistan", he said.
