ONLY THE NATIONS THAT THINK CAN MAKE PROGRESS : Dr. FAROOQ SATTAR

Karachi: 31th May, 2012

Federal Minister for overseas Pakistanis Dr Farooq Sattar has said that only those nations can make progress that think. He expressed these views at the inauguration ceremony of the Information & Communication Technology Exhibition and Job Fair organized by the department of Information Technology in Hyderabad.

Provincial Minister for IT Mr Raza Haroon , Minister for Rural Development Zubair Ahmed Khan, MNAs Mr Salahuddin, Syed Tayyab Hussain, MPA Sohail Yousuf , officials of the IT department and a large number of students were also present in the exhibition.

Dr Sattar said that the nations following the process of thinking have not only brought glory and fame to their countries but also made discoveries to the benefit of the people throughout the world. He said that Pakistan was left far behind in the march of progress because of ad hocism. It has only increased debt burden and there was a population explosion.

He said that the MQM wants to transform Pakistan into a truly sovereign country as envisioned by the Quaid-e-Azam by following the teachings of MQM leader Mr Altaf Hussain. The holding of the IT exhibition was a step in the same direction.

Speaking on the occasion Mr Haroon said that Mr Hussain has given the younger generation a platform from where they can express their views before the world. He said that a particular segment has brought notoriety to politics for their vested interests in order to keep the educated and able people away from it. He said that Mr Hussain brought revolutions in the suffocated political atmosphere of the country by sending people from the poor and educated classes in the corridors of power.
