MQM, PPP and ANP are being persistently targeted by terrorists: Altaf Hussain

MQM, PPP and ANP are being persistently targeted by terrorists: Altaf Hussain

Only ‘mini Taliban’ parties have the freedom to conduct election campaign
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has asked why the caretaker government, the election commission and security agencies were not taking any notice of terrorism against the MQM, the ANP and the PPP. He said this while talking to the office-bearers and workers of MQM Lower Punjab in Multan.
He said, “People of the country are seeing that the moderate and enlightened political parties are being threatened by the Taliban and their office-bearers and workers are being made victim of bomb attacks. As against this other political parties are free to conduct their election campaign clearly indicating that they are in fact mini Taliban.
Mr Hussain said that half of the country was cut away from the country and these ‘mini Taliban’ want to take the remaining Pakistan on the path of destruction. The nation must discriminate between patriotic forces and enemies of the country.
Mr Hussain said that the MQM firmly believes in the injunction that there is no compulsion in the religion. The MQM is against sectarianism and religious extremism and it has been actively pursuing the goal of promoting sectarian and religious harmony. It was because of this that the MQM is on the top of the target list of the Taliban.
Mr Hussain said, “We are not disappointed and we will continue our struggle for achieving our objectives. We will continue our struggle till our last breath but we will not surrender before oppressive forces.”
Mr Hussain asked workers MQM Lower Punjab to remain steadfast and take part in elections with determination without caring about victory or defeat.
The workers expressed condolences on the death of MQM workers and sympathizers in bomb blasts in Karachi. They assured Mr Hussain that they would continue their struggle despite all injustices.
