MQM to elect office-bearers through democratic way: Altaf Hussain

The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain said that MQM was liberal, enlightened and democratic political party and would maintain the norms of the democracy.
Talking to the members of Central Executive Council (CEC), MQM Chief said that the CEC was a parliament and policy making body of MQM and its members were responsible of making party’s constitution. He said that the responsible should coordinate with the concerned people to prepare the constitution.
He directed the CEC members to organize secret balloting to elect CEC Organizer and Central Office-bearers. He thoroughly discussed the CEC organizational characteristics and other issues related to the policy making body of the party. He reiterated his stance against terrorists and terrorism that MQM had zero tolerance against any criminal activity and strongly condemned the sectarian and ethnic violence.
MR. Hussain urged to the members of CEC to fulfill their responsibilities according to the policy and adapted the policy of honesty and dutifulness. He said that the CEC members had to impose the policy and philosophy of MQM from Karachi to Khyber and maintained the discipline in the party setup.
He said that CEC had also the jurisdiction to monitor workers activities and if found any of them in anti-social or illegal activity, could suggest for his suspension or termination from the party. He directed the CEC members to take immediate notice against any of the discipline issues and should give its recommendation to the Coordination Committee.
MQM Chief said that the CEC would also monitor all the projects, including medical centers, schools, university and dispensaries for providing better facilities to the people. He congratulated all MQM workers and office-bearers for constituting the CEC and urged its members to maintain honesty and dignity.
