DEFAMATION SUIT FILED BY DR FAROOQ SATTAR ADMITTED FOR HEARING BY SHC

ANCHOR PERSON KASHIF ABBASI DISTORTED FACTS DELIBERATELY: DR.BARRISTER FAROGH NASHIM
The petition filed by Dr Farooq Sattar, Deputy Convener of the Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement, for recovery of damages against TV anchor person Kashif Abbasi has been admitted for hearing by the Sindh High Court. The defamation suit was filed by Dr Sattar in response to the malicious allegations by Kashif Abbasi against Mr Altaf Hussain. The hearing of the case shall start from 15 May 2012.Dr.Barrister Farogh Nasim, counsel for Dr Sattar, has maintained that Kashif Abbasi distorted the facts deliberately in order to smear the political image of Mr Altaf Hussain. Kashif Abbasi persisted in making baseless allegations in spite of clear and unequivocal statements to the contrary by the main characters involved in the infamous Asghar Khan case. Unfounded allegations had hurt the sentiments of millions of supporters of Mr Altaf Hussain.
