MQM-PPP relation Rehman Malik calls on Altaf Hussain

LONDON, 09-02-2015: Former interior minister and PPP Senator Rehman Malik called on Mr. Altaf Hussain, the founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement, at MQM’s London Secretariat.
The meeting lasted in three hours and both the leaders discussed about the upcoming Senate elections, relation between MQM and PPP, political and overall situation of the country. It was decided that for the betterment of the political situation of the province, the reconciliation policy between two parties would continue.
It was also decided that MQM and PPP would support each others during the Senate elections and reached at the seat adjustments formula. The MQM-PPP collation in Senate elections would award seven seats to PPP and four seats to MQM. All the decisions were taken under the shadow of a recent past Altaf-Zardari talks to maintain peace and brotherhood between two parties.
Both the leaders had also reached for a written agreement for future bonding, whereas MQM had decided to join Sindh government soon. It was decided that to continue the working relations in Sindh, a committee would be constituted to look after all the pros and cons.
PPP Senator Rehman Malik also ensured Mr. Altfa Hussain on behalf of Asif Ali Zardari that MQM would be given rightful part of the collation and 40-60 formula would be strictly implemented in Sindh. Both the leaders had reached to work jointly for the progress and development of the province.
