Blasphemous sketches: Torture during protest against teaching of Prophet (PBUH)

Blasphemous sketches: Torture during protest against teaching of Prophet (PBUH)
 Posted on: 1/17/2015
The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain strongly condemned the publishing of blasphemous sketches in a French magazine but to politicizing the issue and killing the innocent civilian, and damage their properties, could not be appreciated.
Talking to a conference on “The Changing Situation of the World & Inter-Faith Harmony” from London Secretariat, MQM Chief said that the reaction was against the teaching of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He said it was the tragedy of Muslim Ummah that the Muslims’ leaders indulged into the luxury of their lives and that was the reason the entire Muslim Ummah scattered around.
The conference was attended by the prominent Ullema, religious jurists, clerics, preachers, and representatives of all the religious communities of Pakistan. During his speech, Mr. Hussain discussed various things related to the issue, including the history of religions, their teachings, and the fundamentals of other religions.
He said that the attack on mosques, Imam Bargah, shrines of religious elders, temples, churches, security forces’ headquarters, civil and military installations, bomb blasts in markets and Army Public School Peshawar carnage in the name of Islam, were nothing to do with actual Islam or the teaching of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He said that Prophet of Islam taught to love humanity, respect others’ faiths and religion.
Mr. Hussain said that MQM wanted to create harmony among various sects and religion for the greater peace of the country but not against any sect or religion. He said that MQM also organized a rally to show solidarity and love with the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) but with any bullet fire or damage public or private properties.
He said that publishing the blasphemous sketches in Carlie Hebdo should be condemned and the entire Muslim Ummah should unanimously launch a protest against the Western countries for stopping such acts in future. He said that the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami opted torturous way to protest causing two journalists and a policeman were seriously injured.
MQM Chief said that a month ago, the terrorists killed innocent children and their teachers in Army Public School in Peshawar but not a single religious party took out any rally against the brutality of the Taliban and other terrorists outfits. He also offered his heartfelt solidarity to the families of the victims of Peshawar carnage.
He said that the wall-chalking and literatures of Al-Qaida, ISIS and Taliban were distributed in the various cities and the government was unable to control them. He said that MQM raised voice for religious and sectarian harmony and struggled for spreading humanity in the country and was ready to bear the consequences.
Mr. Hussain said that Pakistan had been facing various internal and external challenges and it was the time to reconcile all the political issues for the sake of the country. He appreciated COAS General Raheel Sharif for taking action against the terrorists to eliminate terrorism and extremism in Pakistan۔
