MQM celebrates ‘Youm-e-Tashakkur’

Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has organized nation-wide “Thanksgiving Day” (Youm-e-Tashakkur) after Mr. Altaf Hussain’s statement regarding Taliban and terrorism in Pakistan was endorsed by the All Parties Conference (APC) in Islamabad under the supervision of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and was also attended by Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif.
MQM workers and office-bearers offered prayers on the occasion of “Youm-e-Tashakkur.” The programs, regarding the occasion, were organized all over the country, especially Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
In this regard, the main gathering was organized at Lal Qila ground Azizabad, and was attended by MQM Coordination Committee Pakistan In-charge Qamar Mansoor, members Dr Nusrat Shoukat, Syed Hyder Abbas Rizvi, Ghazi Salahuddin, Kahfil Wara, Gulfaraz Khan Khattak, Aslam Afridi, Senators, MNAs, MPAs, members of central departments, and a huge number of MQM workers and supporters.
The participants prayed Almighty Allah for the reverence, respect, long-life of Mr. Altaf Hussain, wide-spread of his philosophy, victims of Army Public School incident, success of Pakistan Army in the war against terror and MQM martyrs. Meanwhile, MQM Coordination Committee Pakistan In-charge Qamar Mansoor said on the occasion that MQM Chief Mr. Altaf Hussain kept raising his voice against the Taliban and other terrorists’ organizations for the last ten years.
Mr. Mansoor said that if the then government or authorities paid appropriate attention to Mr. Hussain’s concerns than the situation would have been quite different now. He also felicitated the people and security agencies for being united on the issue and he also said that people, who claimed killings of human beings in the name of religion, would not find the way to flee.
