MQM demands to stop workers killings

MQM Coordination Committee has demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take action against criminals of drug mafia involved in brutal killings of MQM KMOC workers.
Addressing to a press conference at Khursheed Begum Secretariat, member MQM Coordination Committee Ghazi Salahuddin said that those criminal elements had police and government patronage. He said that they were trying to make another Lyari in Chanisar Goth, where KMOC workers were being killed on the basis of their identification.
Ghazi Salahuddin said that KMOC worker Qadir Bakhs Lasi was killed in a firing incident on Thursday, while Qayyum, Ali Bakhs, Feroz and a child were injured in the same incident, they were sitting in front of Nouman Lasi’s house after his burial. He said that the terrorists injured KMOC worker Nouman Lasi, when he was collecting hides of sacrificial animals during Eid-ul-Azha, who succumbed to death on Thursday morning.
He said that Muttahida Quami Movement was the third largest political party of the country and represented 98 percent of the people, including poor and lower middle-class. He said that MQM was struggling for the rights of the people and bearing every conspiracy and oppression.
Ghazi Salahuddin demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan, Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and DG Rangers Sindh to take notice of the terrorism against MQM workers. He said MQM would not allow to make Karachi like Lyari or Chanisar Goth.
He said that MQM Chief Mr. Altaf Hussain was the first political leader who demanded operation against terrorists in Karachi. He said Prime Minister ensured to make a monitoring committee who would look after the operation and make it neutral. He said since the operation was started MQM workers were being murdered in extra-judicial killings.
Meanwhile, the bereaved families of MQM martyrs told the media persons that they were being targeted because of affiliations with MQM. They said police remained spectator instead of arresting the terrorists. They said the local residents built a police check post but no police personnel were deputed in it.
