The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has reorganized the minority’s wing of the party and announced a committee of fourteen members, including the in-charge. The announcement of the new committee was done by Deputy Convener of the Co-ordination Committee Dr Nusrat Shoukat. Members of the Co-ordination Committee Jawed Kazmi and Saif Yar Khan also addressed the gathering.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Shoukat said that the MQM leader Mr Altaf Hussain has always spoken about serving the humanity irrespective of the prejudices of caste, colour, and creed. He added that Mr Hussain views people belonging to different nationalities and following different religious beliefs as equal.
Dr Shoukat said that the MQM is the only political party in the country that has been raising forceful voice for the rights of the minorities in the country.
The new committee includes Abdul Ahad (in-charge), Girdhari Lal, Manohar Lal, Rasheed Khan, Patras Maseeh, Munawer Jan, Arif Bhatti, Shoukat Sardar, Sardar Krishn Singh, Mukaish Roshan, Gulfan Jawed Randhawa, Anthony Samuel, Ilyar Khokhar and Naveed Malik.
