Co-ordination Committee terms the double murder as the continuation of the conspiracy to undermine peace
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the killing of Muhammad Adnan and Amir Iqbal, workers of Unit 142 of the New Karachi Sector of the MQM. He expressed his sincere sympathies to the grieving family members and said that the sacrifices given by elected representatives and workers of the MQM would not go in vain. He said that the brutal killers would meet their deserved end one day. He prayed for Allah to bless the departed souls and give courage and patience to the family members to bear the irreparable loss.
Condemning the brutal murder, the Co-ordination Committee of the MQM called it a continuation of the evil conspiracy to undermine peace and order in Karachi. It said that certain elements were targeting elected representatives and workers of the MQM, leaders of other political parties and religious scholars in order to destabilize the country by creating a law and order situation in Karachi.
The Co-ordination Committee condoled with the bereaved family members and asked the workers and office-bearers of the MQM to foil the evil designs of terrorists by remaining united. It asked them to bear with patience and perseverance.
The Co-ordination Committee demanded President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take notice of the killings of the MQM workers by the firing of armed terrorists. It demanded severe action against the terrorists who were involved in the killings of elected representatives, office-bearers and workers of the MQM.
