The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Mr. Altaf Hussain enthusiastically felicitated the fishermen on the “World Fishermen Day,” and said that it was need of the time to resolve all the issues regarding fishing and fishermen.
In a complimentary statement issued from London Secretariat, MQM Chief said that fishing business had become an industry but the fishermen were deprived of their fundamental rights, including health and education. He said that they spent more than half of their lives in the sea to earn their livings but they even did not get appropriate compensations.
Mr. Hussian said that Pakistan government should patronize the fishing business and made it up-to-date to fulfill the modern need of the time. He said that any negligence could result devastating the industry and deprived the country from foreign exchange.
