The Deputy Convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said MQM’s aim is to bring poor and lower-middle class educated-youth in the Parliaments to change the course of the country.
Talking to the media persons while visiting a membership campaign camp in New Town, Lahore, Dr Khalid Maqbool said that despite practicing nepotism, Altaf Hussain never patronized his family members to send in the Parliaments. He said that the feudal elite living in the palace like houses could not resolve the people’s affairs.
Members Coordination Committee Senator Nasreen Jalil, Mian Atique, Abdul Haseeb, Iftikhar Rindhava, STC In-charge Irshad Zafeer, member CEC Bisma Asif Sakhira, President Central Punjab Amir Baloch and other office-bearers were also present on the occasion. He said that Mr. Hussain’s wish to eliminate hierarchical system to bring positive change in the political milieu.
Meanwhile, a huge number of people from all walks of life enthusiastically joined MQM in the membership campaign 2014. Dr Siddiqui said that people’s participation ultimately brought the change in the country.
