Altaf Hussain slams grenade attack on Imam Bargah

The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Mr. Altaf Hussain strongly condemned hand grenade attack on an Imam Bargah near Kamran Chowrangi in Gulistan-e-Johar.
In a statement issued from London Secretariat, MQM Chief termed the attack is a malicious conspiracy to evoke sectarian riots during the sacred month of Moharram-ul-Haram. He said that the act of killing of innocent citizens who are practicing their rituals, indeed, incites sectarian conflicts.
He said the consecutive attack just after IRC grenade attack reflected an alarming situation of the law and order in the country. He expressed his deep sympathies with mourners and prayed Almighty Allah for their early and complete recovery.
Mr. Hussain demanded the government to take appropriate security measures to save the precious human lives and to protect mosques and Imam Bargah. He also appealed to the people to maintain brotherhood and sectarian harmony. He said people are being forced to fight themselves by spreading sectarian conflicts and only be unfolded by the unity of people.
