Conversation with Maulana Zarwali of Jamia Ahsan-ul-Uloom
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that religious madrasas, masjids, and Ulema are our assets, and it is our duty to protect them and added that “We will continue to discharge this duty.” He said this while talking to the administrator of Jamia Ahsan-ul-Uloom Maulana Zarwali on the telephone today. He condemned killings of the students and a teacher of the madrasa some days ago and extended his sympathies to the teachers and students. He demanded of the government to bring the killers to justice.

Talking to Maulana Zarwali Mr Hussain said that students of madrasas were like his own children, and he has full sympathies with them. “The Muslim Ummah is in grave need of unity. Muslims are brothers of each other, and they are like one body. If any part of the body is hurt the pain is felt by the entire body.”

“We raise our voice against injustices committed against the people of Gaza without caring about the consequences because we feel that we must raise our voice against injustice wherever it may happen.”

Maulana Zarwali appreciated the sentiments of Mr Hussain for masjids, religious madrasas, students and teachers. He thanked Mr Hussain for sending Governor Sindh, MQM office-bearers and elected representatives to the Jamia for condolences. He extended full support to the views of Mr Hussain for the need to promote unity among Muslims.
