MQM delegation meets Ullema to discuss sectarian harmony

On the directives of the founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain, the MQM delegation visited Ullema of various schools of thought, religious scholars, Muftian, preachers, managements of mosque and Imam Bargahs and members of Shia and Sunni organisations.
The delegation was comprised of member Coordination Committee Ahmed Saleem Siddiqui, MNAs Iqbal Muhammad Ali, and MPA Anwar Raza. It called on prominent religious scholar Maulana Asad Deobandi and Allama Karar Naqvi and conveyed the message of MQM Chief to them regarding sectarian harmony and religious tolerance.
Talking on the occasion, member Coordination Committee Ahmed Saleem Siddiqui said that the malicious elements intriguingly decimating the peace by creating sectarian violence. He said that the terrorists kept killing people in the name of religion and sects but it was people’s especially religious scholars, Ullema and social intellectuals’ responsibility to tackle them and spread brotherhood.
He said, “We have to play our part to maintain peace and harmony during Moharram rituals and everyone should respect others’ sect and faith. He said that Moharram was the most sacred month in Muslims’ calendar and they should behave appropriately to eliminate terrorism and extremism, especially during the month.
Meanwhile, both the religious personalities, Maulana Asad Deobandi and Allama Karar Naqvi appreciated MQM Chief’s efforts to maintain religious tolerance and sectarian harmony. They also prayed for the victims of terrorism and prayed for their high eternal ranks. They also prayed for the long life of MQM Chief Mr. Altaf Hussain.
