KW&SB responsible to provide water in metropolis: Farooq Sattar

Member of MQM Coordination Committee and MNA Dr Farooq Sattar has said that the provision of water at every area of the city was key responsibility of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KW&SB).
 
Dr Sattar demanded to provide water to those areas where interval system was already prevailing but people still did not get their turn. He said that the water distribution system should be based on equality and justice and it was ensured that all towns and colonies should be provided adequate quantity of water to fulfill the inhabitants’ demand.
 
He said that since previous Ramazan his own constituency, consisted of Old areas, Kharadar and Sadar, was also deprived of water and people were compelled to purchase water tankers at a very high cost. He said that MQM representatives continuously got in touch with the people and fully acknowledged their miseries regarding basic necessities, especially provision of water.
 
Dr Sattar warned the management of Water Board to ensure the provision of water to all areas of the metropolis and any negligence in this regard would not be tolerated. He said that it was decided in interval system to provide water thrice a week.
