The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has strongly condemned the arrest of MQM worker Faisal Khursheed from Liaquatabad area early in the morning today. The committee said that Faisal Khursheed was arrested by a large contingent of Rangers from his home in Liaquatabad and removed to an undisclosed location. So far his family members or party office-bearers have not been given any information about his whereabouts.
The Co-ordination Committee said that Faisal Khursheed is an asthma patient and his family was greatly worried about his well-being. The committee appealed to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take notice of the arrest of Faisal Khursheed without any ground. The committee called for releasing Faisal Khursheed immediately.
