The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Mr. Altaf Hussain has said that Eid-ul-Azha is symbol of sacrifice and submission to Almighty Allah and felicitated people for Hajj-e-Akbar, here on Friday evening.
The MQM Chief, while addressing to party general workers’ meeting to discuss the celebrations regarding upcoming Eid atLal-Qila ground, Azizabad, directed all his party workers and KKF volunteers to collect hides of sacrificial animals but nobody was allowed to snatch, force or use any other means tomanipulate people’s respect.
He said that MQM’s charity wing Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF) had been serving calamity hit people and needy persons all over the country, including Azad Kashmir, Fata and Gilgit-Baltistan. He requested people to come out to help KKF forruing its business.
Mr. Hussain appealed people and philanthropists to provide all out assistance to KKF to carry out its human welfare and charitable works. He said that KKF kept running its operations, including ambulance services, coffin cars, schools, medical centers, hospitals, university and other numerous deeds.
He, during his speech, said “MQM is the only party which brings poor and people of lower-middle class into the Parliaments.” He said that his party wanted to remove obsolete feudal system and VVIP culture from the country and everyone had equal rights to share country’s resources.
Mr. Hussain said that his party aim was to serve people and payall the rights of the humanity. He said that MQM kept struggling for poor, farmers, labourers and deprived people and wanted tobring real change in their lives and also to raise their livesstandards.
He informed that he had written a letter to Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and apologized for his words if they were hurt. He also assured Pak-army that if hard times would come, MQM workers would fight side by side with army against any enemy. He said that with all other political and religious parties, MQM also wanted peace and prosperity in the country.
MQM Chief reiterated his stance to create new provinces and administrative units to maintain things smoothly all around the country, including Sindh. He said that MQM did not want to divide Sindh but creating new rooms in a house, did mean to divide it. He said that MQM also demanded to create the same to remove grave concerns over discrimination of urban people.
He also raised a crucial issue of Karachiites as they were directed to get admission in government colleges through Sindh government’s discriminating Centralized Admission Policy (CAP) by downloading number of pages through internet. He also said that the appetent candidates were directed to submit their downloaded and dully filled applications in the Sindh Bank, which had only six branches throughout the metropolis.
He said that if people would be deprived of or discriminated like that they would definitely raise their voice against the oppressors. He said, “I suggest Sindh government to leave such racial prejudices and stop conspiring against Urdu-speakingcommunity.”
Mr. Hussain said, “Baloch people are being deprived of their fundamental rights, whenever, MQM gets chance to serve itsBaloch brothers, it will remove all the discriminatory attitudes against them.” He said that no other but MQM would bring water and other basic necessities for them.
Meanwhile, MQM Chief also indicated towards another social behaviour of ruling elite that they kept strengthening their associations through creating in-laws relationships among them. He said that the ruling elite did not want to hand over the government any way and kept plotting against the nation.
