MQM CCC expresses concerns over loss of lives, devastations

"MQM wants to serve the affected populous across Pakistan if authorities concerned hand over MQM charity wing KKF back and assure volunteers will not be arrested"

LONDON. August 24, 2022. MQM CCC had held an exigent meeting at the MQM International Secretariat in London.
The meeting expressed deep concerns over loss of lives and mega devastations due to rain-related floods across the country as Sindh, Balochistan and South Punjab have been worst affected.
The meeting while addressing the federal and provincial governments of the country and all the authorities concerned said that in the light of the appeal issued in connection with the possible assistance of the affected, the MQM can vigorously launch a broad scale relief programme.
The MQM wants to provide all possible help to the rain-related floods in light of the appeal of the Leader of the MQM, Altaf Hussain. The meeting appealed to the federal and provincial governments and all the authorities concerned to lift ban on MQM charity wing, Khidmat-e Khalq Foundation - or KKF and hand it back to MQM. The governments and the authorities concerned to assure that the law enforcers will refrain from arresting MQM workers who would perform as volunteers. The governments and the authorities concerned have to take the MQM into confidence in this regard.
In return, MQM will assure that we will perform the historic welfare services under the leadership of Altaf Hussain. The meeting reminded the governments and the authorities concerned to take a look back in 2005, when the MQM served the quake victims in Kashmir and adjoining parts of the valley indiscriminately. The meeting expressed its heartfelt condolences to all the victims of this rain-related catastrophe.
