A JOINT RESOLUTION AGAINST AUTHORITARIANISM AND INTOLERANCE OF THE GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN ADOPTED IN THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT

A joint resolution adopted by the members of European Parliament on 17th December 98 by the overwhelming majority of the members despite desperate efforts of the representatives of the Government of Pakistan including Mr.Saidulllah Khan Dehlvi, the Pakistani Ambassador to the Belgium to forestall the resolution.
The European Parliament strongly condemned the gross violation of the human rights against the Parliamentarians of the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) in particular and Mohajir in general through invocation of Article 245 of the constitution only in Sindh Province. The European Parliament has also condemned the gross violations of human rights against the religious minorities.
