Senator Nasreen Jalil, Deputy Convenor of MQM, has strongly condemned the remand of Shoaib Bukhari Advocate, arrested member of Co-ordination of Committee of MQM and former minister and Wakil Jamali, arrested MPA of MQM. She termed it a vengeful act of the Nawaz Sharif Government.

"What kind of justice is it to treat the elected representatives as hardened criminals and subject them to inhuman torture" She asked. Shoaib Bukhari Advocate and Wakil Jamali have been subjected to worst form of torture since the time of their arrest, they were kept at several police stations where they were pressurised to change their allegiance, she added.

Shoaib Bukhari and Wakil Jamali were sent to jail on judicial custody but the Federal Government had intervened to hand over Shoaib Bukhari and Wakil Jamali from judicial custody to Police custody so that further torture could be inflicted upon them.

Senator Nasreen Jalil appealed to the Chief Justices of the Supreme Court and the Sindh High Court to take notice of this inhuman and vengeful act of Nawaz Government to remand Shoaib Bukhari and Wakil Jamali in Police custody.
