GOVERNMENT SPONSORED TERRORISM IN KARACHI -- EXPOSED

We have been writing to you regularly with emphasis that terrorism in Karachi has been Government orchestrated all along, whereas MQM has always been falsely accused. Evidence of the Government involvement is enclosed.

In several meetings with the Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, the MQM leaders informed him with evidence that the leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML) including their elected representatives are involved in criminal activities. The MQM leaders repeatedly mentioned the name of Alim Adil Sheikh, who is a local leader of the PML and also a Member of the Provincial Assembly. Alim Adil Sheikh is involved in many criminal activities including land grabbing, extortion and abduction. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was also informed that Alim Adil Sheikh is not only involved in arms smuggling but also organising armed terrorist groups. Despite this information, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif did not take any action against Alim Adil Sheikh.

The reluctance in taking any action against Alim Adil Sheikh further clarifies that Alim Adil Sheikh has been carrying out criminal activities on behest of the Prime Minister. In fact, Alim Adil Sheikh was assigned by the Federal Government to create law and order situation in Karachi. This was done with the view to misguide the international community and hold the MQM responsible for the criminal activities and terrorism in Karachi because MQM enjoys support of the masses.
