MQM stages another anti-Nawaz demo

WASHINGTON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Thursday staged another demonstration outside a hotel in Washington where Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was being hosted by three organisations representing the Pakistani community in the US. Earlier, the MQM had demonstrated outside the White House where the prime minister was having a meeting with President Bill Clinton. MQM chief organiser for US and Canada, Mohammad Younus, had earlier said that his organisation would stage demonstrations at all the venues of the prime minister's engagements in Washington for three days. About 40-50 MQM activists gathered outside the Washington Marriott Hotel and held the demonstration when the prime minister arrived to speak at the reception.
