Under the pretext of law and order, the Government of Nawaz Sharif has unleashed a terror campaign against the entire Mohajir Nation. People are being harassed, beaten, arrested, insulted, robbed and murdered by the law enforcement personnel who are supposedly the custodian of the law. To satisfy the Federal Government, the local Police are not even sparing small children and disabled men.

According to details on November 28 1998, the personnel of Orangi Town Police forcibly entered the house of Khalid Hussain son of Kaleem Ullah who is the incharge of MQM Unit 124, Sector Orangi Town, Karachi. The police brutally tortured the entire family members including women, his 12 years old younger brother Saleem was brutally tortured. The raiding party did not even spare a three years old innocent girl who was mercilessly kicked and beaten despite the fact that she had a hernia operation. After the brutal beating, she is in a critical condition. Then, the police robbed the house taking money and the motor cycle of this poor family. The same raiding party then raided the house of Mahboob son of Mohammad Rafiq, an MQM worker of Unit 124. As he was not present in the house the raiding party ransacked the house, misbehaved with the family members and molested the females, present.

In other incidents the personnel of Khawaja Ajmer Nagri Police Station raided the temporary residence of an MQM worker Amir Raza 32, in Azam Basti, Karachi, and arrested him.

On 27 November 1998, at around 2 p.m., the personnel of CIA Police arrested Mohammad Yameen 25, son of Mohammad Esa, an MQM worker of Unit 12, Sector Burns Road, while he was going to his house. On the same day, the personnel of Korangi Police Station raided the house of Imran, an active worker of MQM Unit 72, Sector Korangi. As he was not present in the house, therefore, the raiding party arrested his 21-year-old brother Sohail Ahmed. In another incident at around 3 a.m., the personnel of Eidgah Police Station raided the house of Noor Mohammad 32, son of Mohammad Nawab, an active worker of MQM Unit 29, Sector Lyari and arrested him. In the early hours of 26 November 1998, Police and plain clothed personnel of CIA Police raided the residence of Mohammad Saleem 35, son of Mohammad Yameen, a worker of MQM Burns Road. Mohammad Saleem has been suffering from paralysis and is unable to move around.
