SOS FOR URGENT INTERVENTION

SAVE THE LIVES OF MQM PARLIAMENTARIANS:

SHOAIB BUKHARI ADVOCATE, MEMBER SINDH PROVINCIAL ASSEMBLY, FORMER MINISTER SINDH CABINET IN THREAT OF CUSTODIAL KILLING:

Karachi: November 21, 1998: 2.30 p.m.

Shoaib Bukhari Advocate, member Sindh Provincial Assembly and deputy parliamentary leader of MQM and former minister in Sindh Cabinet was arrested in a midnight raid at the Nine Zero, Central Office of the MQM, (Muttahida Quami Movement).

The raiding party beat him ruthlessly and forcibly hit his head on the wall several times. Shoaib Bukhari Advocate who is around 60 years old and physically a frail person fell on the spot. His head was bleeding and his condition was serious. In that critical condition the raiding party dragged him to the police vehicles.

It is feared that his life is under threat in custody of the State.

Appeal:

We appeal to all the human rights organisations, media and institutions to urgently intervene and save the life of Shoaib Bukhari Advocate and others in State Custody.
