WITHIN TWO DAYS FIVE MORE MQM WORKERS MURDERED IN COLD BLOOD BY THE INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES OF PAKISTAN AND THEIR SPONSORED TERRORISTS

Karachi: September 4, 1998

We are writing to inform you that since our last communication with you on 2 September 1998, five more MQM workers have been ruthlessly murdered in cold blood by the Paramilitary Rangers and their sponsored terrorists.

Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) is the third largest political party of Pakistan and the second largest in the province of Sindh.

A- Mohammad Tariq Siddique, age: 32 year, son of Abdul Waheed, resident of R-25, Block-C, Baghe Malir, Karachi. He was a very active worker of MQM Unit 103, Sector Shah Faisal.

On 3 September 1998, at around 10 p.m., some unidentified gunmen, travelling in a car and two motorcycles, opened fire at three MQM workers who were standing near a restaurant in Federal B. Area, Karachi. As a result one MQM worker Mohammad Tariq Siddique died on the spot and the other two Imran and Saleem were seriously injured.

B- Rehmat Ali, age: 33 year, son of Mohammad Ali Jaan, resident of Bismillah Colony, Orangi Town, Karachi. He was an active worker of MQM Unit 85, Sector Landhi. Due to consistent raids and attacks of Intelligence Agencies and their sponsored terrorists, the Haqiqis. He was an employee with the Education Department.

On 3 September 1996, at around 4.45 p.m., the Haqiqi terrorists accompanied by the Paramilitary Rangers entered his house and opened indiscriminate fire. Rehmat Ali was shot several times and died on the spot while another MQM worker, Amir Hassan of Unit 85, who had come to see Rehmat sustained bullet wounds.

C- Mohammad Azeem, age: 26 year, son of Raheem, resident of P-Area, Korangi No. 2-1/2, Karachi. He was a worker of MQM Unit 75, Sector Korangi.

On 3 September 1998, the Haqiqi terrorists armed with lethal weapons and accompanied by the Paramilitary Rangers and the area Police attacked the office of MQM Korangi Sector. In this attack Mohammad Azeem was shot and died on the spot.

D- Mohammad Adil Sheikh, age: 22 year, son of Abdul Ghafoor Sheikh, resident of Flat No. D-3, Wahid Manzil, Mir Karam Ali Talpur Road, Saddar, Karachi. He was an office bearer of MQM Unit 36, Sector Burns Road.

On 2 September 1998, at around 10 a.m., he left his house with his father to buy some groceries. Some Haqiqi terrorists accompanied by the Paramilitary Rangers spotted them and opened fire upon Mohammad Adil Sheikh. He was shot four times and died on his way to the hospital.

E- In the letter of 2 September 1998, we had mentioned the incident of 18 August 1998, when some unidentified gunmen opened fire upon MQM workers who were sitting outside the Agha Khan School. As a result two MQM workers had died and one Mohammad Raees was critically injured. On 26 August 1998, he succumbed to his injuries and died in the hospital.

Mohammad Raees, age: 20 year, son of Azeem Uddin, resident of Gul-e-Rana, Gali No. 5, Karachi. He is a worker of MQM Unit 51, Sector PIB Colony.

F- On 2 September 1998, the personnel of Garden Police Station raided the house of Arif Rasheed 16, and arrested him along with his brother Naved Rasheed 25. Both of them are workers of MQM Unit 32, Sector Lyari.
