On 25 May 1998, Nadeem was having breakfast at his video

on motorcycles attacked his shop and opened heavy indiscriminate
fire upon him. Nadeem received several bullet shots and died on
the spot.
In two other separate incidents, Police have unlawfully arrested
two MQM workers during raids.
Details of these arrests are:
1- Nadeem, age: 26 years, son of Yaqub, resident of M-One, Raza
Square, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi, a worker of MQM Unit 66-B,
Sector Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi, was arrested by the Police from
a hockey ground. On 25 May 1998, at around 4 p.m., the personnel
of CIA Police (in Mobile 141) raided the Sharah-e-Faisal Hockey
Ground and arrested Nadeem while he was playing hockey. The
personnel of law enforcement agencies did not give any reason for
this raid and arrest.

the house of Kashif and arrested him. Reasons for his arrest were
not given.
Since the General Elections of February 1997, the Intelligence
Agencies and their "agents of persecution", the Haqiqi
terrorists have murdered more than 140 MQM workers and
supporters.
Illegal raids and arrests of MQM workers, supporters and their
family members have become a daily routine. During these raids
the personnel of law enforcement agencies break into the houses
of MQM workers and supporters, ransack the household items,
looted the valuables, misbehaved with the family members and in
the absence of the MQM workers and supporters arrested their
family members. Heavy bribes are then extorted for the release of
these innocent victims.
