MQM Office raided, workers held in Lahore
LAHORE, March 27: The local police raided the Muttahida QaumiMovement provincial office here on Friday evening and arrested two party workers. Thepolice also took away some literature.
According to the details, on Friday, Sanda police along with some commandos besieged the party's provincial officesituated at Al-Rahmat Plaza, Shamnagar Bazaar, near Chauburji Chowk, Friday evening.
Later, some policemen entered the office without any warrantsand misbehaved with the MQM office-bearers who were present. It was stated that thepolicemen interrogated the MQM men and arrested the Punjab organizing committee members AlmasHaider Kazmi and Karamat Ali Sheikh.
Police also took away some literature present in the office. When contacted, Sanda police said they did arrest two MQMworkers but they declined to tell why they had raided the MQM office.
