MQM to lodge extrajudicial killings case against Babar & Others. MQM Legal AidCommittee

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has decided to lodge a case againstformer interiorminister, Naseerullah Babar and others for 'extrajudicial killings' during thePPP regime.

The MQM Legal Aid Committee, in a meeting held at Nine Zero and attended by provincial minister Shoaib Bukhari, Justice (Retd) Fazal Ghani, retired judge, Zaheer Ahmad Khan, Sardar Ishaqadvocate, Syed Iqtidar Ali Hashmi advocate and others, decided to lodge caseagainst Nasreer Babar and others involved in the killings during the then 'Benazir-Zardari government'.

The meeting, also attended by members of co-ordination and legal aid committees,set up a six-member sub-committee, headed by Sardar Ishaq advocate to fulfill the legal requirement of registering murder case against Naseer and others. The committee would alsogather details of the incidents of extrajudicial killings.
