EIGHT MQM WORKERS AND SUPPORTERS INCLUDING TWO YOUNG GIRLS MURDERED AND SEVERAL OTHERS INJURED BY THE HAQIQI TERRORISTS

DETAILS OF THE HORRENDOUS ATTACKS OF THE HAQIQI TERRORISTS UPON THE MQM WORKERS, SUPPORTERS AND THE RESIDENTS OF KORANGI AND LANDHI, KARACHI

  1. On 22 February 1998, at around 9 p.m., the Haqiqi terrorists namely, Faheem alias Lamba, Waqar alias Zulfi, Usman alias Kala, Ashfaq Patel alias Puppi, Afzal and others, armed with sophisticated weapons attacked Korangi 1-1/2, Unit 70. They started firing heavily upon those who were sitting outside their houses. As a result several MQM workers and supporters were shot dead while many have been injured.

List of those who were murdered:

  1. Haider s/o Ghulam, aged 28 year, Incharge of MQM Unit 70
  2. Mohammad Nasir s/o Mohammad Farooq, aged 22 year, a worker of MQM
  3. Idrees s/o Mohammad Ismail, aged 28 year, a worker of MQM
  4. Sardar s/o Ishtiaq, aged 26 year, a worker of MQM
  5. Imran, aged 23 year, a worker of MQM
  6. Saima d/o Abdul Rehman (15 year), supporter of MQM
  7. Asma d/o Abdul Rehman (6 year), supporter of MQM
  8. Mohammad Jaffer, aged 30 year, a supporter of MQM who was passing by in his car

List of those MQM workers who are injured in this armed attack of Haqiqi terrorists:

  1. Zahid Ali son of Irshad Ali, aged 22 year
  2. Mohammad Sajid son of Mohammad Nawab, aged 20 year
  3. Mohammad Asghar son of Shabrati, aged 28 year
  1. In a second incident on the same day and at the same time around 9 p.m., the Haqiqi terrorists attacked the MQM workers namely Mehboob Ali son of Abdul Rehman, resident of Sherpao Colony; Asif son of Ghulam Mohammad, resident of 48-R Syed Centre and Risalat Khan son of Mohammad Ameen, resident of Quaidabad Landhi in Unit 93-A, Quaidabad, Landhi, Karachi. They opened heavy fire upon them. As a result all the three MQM workers were seriously injured. They were immediately taken to the hospital where they are in critical condition.
  2. It is also reported that between 9.30 p.m. and 10.30 p.m., the Haqiqi terrorists have attacked the house of Israr, member of MQM Sector Committee of Landhi, Karachi. They ransacked the house and kidnapped his two young brothers namely, Farhan (aged 11 year) and Rehan (aged 9 year).
  3. The Haqiqi terrorists have also kidnapped the younger brother of MQM worker Majid of Unit 85, Landhi. This incident also occurred between 9.30 p.m. and 10.30 p.m. From the same area, the Haqiqi terrorists also kidnapped Yasir Hussain the younger brother of an MQM worker Sajid Hussain.
