Abdul Rasheed, son of Sher Mohammad, aged 18 years, resident of Gali No. 15, Mustafa Taj
Colony, Kachchi Abadi, Korangi, Karachi, a worker of MQM Unit 76, Sector Korangi, Karachi.
At around 2 p.m., while Abdul Rasheed was visiting his friend in the area of 50-A Ghaus Pak Road, near Darul Ulum, he was identified and kidnapped by the Haqiqi terrorists namely Junaid and others. Abdul Rasheed was brutally tortured and ruthlessly murdered by the Haqiqi terrorists sponsored, protected and patronised by the Law Enforcement Agencies. His dead body was later found in the area and taken to Jinnah Hospital, Karachi.
It is to be noted that earlier on 11 October 1997, Abdul Rasheed was kidnapped, tortured and then released by the Haqiqi terrorists. After that incident the Haqiqi terrorists continued to harass the family of Abdul Rasheed. On 15 October 1997, the Haqiqi terrorist kidnapped his old father Sher Mohammad and his uncle Shaukat Ali, tortured them to divulge the whereabouts of Abdul Rasheed. The Haqiqi terrorists demanded Rs. 20,000 from Shaukat Ali for their release. When the family was unable to pay the amount, the terrorists attacked the house of Abdul Rasheed and looted all the valuables including television, refrigerator, VCR, satellite antenna, etc. Due to the continuing harassment and attacks of the Haqiqi terrorists, Abdul Rasheed was forced to change his residence from Korangi to another safe place.

Mohammad Tariq, aged 20 years, son of Mohammad Abbas, resident of House No. H-29, Ghausia
Colony, PIB Colony, Karachi, informed his mother that he was going to see one of his
friend. On his way, the Haqiqi terrorists under the protection of law enforcement agencies
kidnapped the above named in Korangi, a suburb of Karachi. After kidnapping Tariq, the
Haqiqi terrorists called his elder brother in his shop at Tariq Road, Karachi, informing
him that his brother has been kidnapped and demanded a ransom money for his release. The
poor brother failed to deliver the ransom money. On 26 October 1997, the PIB Colony Police
informed the family that their son has been murdered and his body is in the morgue of
Jinnah Hospital, Karachi.
22 October 1997
Asghar Ali Azaad, aged 40 years, resident of House No. 27, Sharif Colony, Landhi, Karachi,
a sympathiser of MQM Unit 82, Sector Landhi, Karachi. His brother in law Nasir is the
worker of MQM and has been in hiding since 1992 when the Army Operation commenced against
the MQM. Mr. Abdul Rahim Khan, father of Nasir and father in law of Asghar Ali Azaad was
brutally murdered by the Haqiqi terrorists on 21 November 1994. Asghar Ali Azaad was
kidnapped by the Haqiqi terrorists in the early hours of 22 October 1997, while he was
returning from the mosque after Fajr (morning) prayers. Later his dead body was recovered
from near Government APWA Girls School, Korangi No. 6, Karachi. his neck bore the marks of
bullet wounds. One of the Haqiqi terrorists namely Waheed alias Tooda who kidnapped Asghar
was identified by the eye witnesses.
21 October 1997
Mohammad Naeem, aged 35 years, son of Mohammad Siddique, resident of 1/25 UK Plaza Square,
Federal B. Area, Karachi, a worker of MQM Unit 159, Sector Liaquatabad, Karachi. He was
shot dead by the Haqiqi terrorists on 21 October 1997, around 10 p.m. This incident took
place in Unit 162 of Liaquatabad, Karachi.

MOHAMMAD HABIB, AN MQM WORKER OF KORANGI, SHOT DEAD BY THE HAQIQI
TERRORISTS SPONSORED BY PARAMILITARY RANGERS
At 7 a.m., on 2 October 1997, the Haqiqi terrorists in motor vehicles and in the
protection of the Paramilitary Rangers entered into the Korangi No. 6 Area of Karachi,
Pakistan. They opened indiscriminate firing upon innocent citizens. Mohammad Habib son
Mohammad Aslam, aged 17 years, resident of House No. 422, Sector 51-B, Korangi No. 6,
Karachi, a worker of MQM Unit 79 of Korangi Area in Karachi , was shot in the stomach and
legs. He died while being taken to the Jinnah Hospital. On 20 September 1997, at around 7
p.m., Amir Ahmed was sitting outside his house along with some of his friends in the
I-Area, Korangi, Karachi, when the Haqiqi terrorists under the protection of Intelligence
Agencies opened fire at them. Amir Ahmed was severely injured and received bullet wounds
in his head, abdomen and his legs. He was immediately admitted to the Jinnah Hospital,
Karachi, where he remained in critical condition and died in the early hours of 5 November
1997.
