Mukhtar Ahmed, aged 18 years, son of Sharf Uddin, resident of House No. M-197, Muslimabad, Malir City, Karachi 23, a worker of MQM Unit 94, Sector Malir. 2 Syed Furqan Ali, aged 20 years, son of Syed Ashraf Ali, resident of House No. A-504, A-Area, Malir Colony, Karachi, a worker of MQM Unit 102, Sector Malir.

At 3.30 p.m., Syed Furqan Ali and Mukhtar Ahmed were sitting and chatting together when a Suzuki Pickup van ridden by State sponsored terrorists Haqiqis namely, Asif Shaharyar, Iqbal Koti alias Balloo and others got down, identified the MQM workers and shot them dead at point blank range.

In a separate incident on 3 September 1997, at around 5 p.m., FIT personnel arrested Mr. Nasir Habib, 27 years, son of Habib, resident of Hasrat Mohani Colony, Karachi, Incharge of MQM Unit 186, Sector Pak Colony, on false and fabricated charges which were lodged by the terrorists of the area. He is still under arrest despite representations that he was not involved in any unlawful activity.

At around 5 p.m., FIT personnel arrested Mr. Nasir Habib, 27 years, son of Habib, resident of Hasrat Mohani Colony, Karachi, Incharge of MQM Unit 186, Sector Pak Colony, on false and fabricated charges which were lodged by the terrorists of the area. He is still under arrest despite representations that he was not involved in any unlawful activity.
