MQM organizes protest against extra-judicial killing of workers
 
KARACHI, 04-05-2016:
 Muttahida Quami Movement has organized a series of protest at various places throughout the city, including Numaish Chowrangi, Liaquatabad No-10, 5-Star Chowrangi, and Hassan Square to protest against etra-judicial killings of at least 56 workers and arbitrary arrest of thousands of workers.
 
Addressing to the participants, member Coordination Committee Syed Aminul Haq said that MQM was peaceful and law abiding political party. He said that the statement from Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif regarding the probe against extra-judicial killing of MQM worker seemed satisfying.
 
He said that at least 56 MQM workers were extra-judicially killed during Karachi-operation since 2013 and hundreds were forcefully disappeared after their arrest. He said that the Establishment should pay respect to MQM’s mandate because people had been electing MQM representatives since 1987.
 
Aminul Haq said that MQM believed in to live and let live policy and always accommodated multi-cultural people in it. He said that they kept raising their voices and concerns over human rights violations and discriminations but the authorities did not pay any heeds to them.
 
Talking on the occasion MQM leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that MQM had been targeting for long and its workers being killed extra-judicially. He said the Karachi-operation was started on MQM’s demand but turned it around MQM to victimize its workers and supporters.
 
He said that they believed on Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and he would complete the process of justice to bring culprits before the court. He said the hatred of law enforcement agencies were left on the body of extra-judicially murdered workers.
